'Honour killing'
urmila, 02:25h
A young man has been convicted for killing his sister. The media are convinced it was a 'honour killing'. They are convinced his elder two brothers were involved. The court, however, found not enough evidence for this and acquited them. The media and politicians do not mind. They are still convinced it was a 'honour killing'. The whole family was involved. They are convinced. The minister for the interior in Berlin has asked the family to leave the country.
Incredible, how they are all ignoring the principles of a constitutional state: innocent until proven guilty. For Muslims the rule seems to be different.
PS 15.04.06:: My German post on the topic has been commented on massively. I have been accussed of trivialising the murder. My argument that also Muslims should be considered innocent until proven guilty has been not understood? not seen as relevant? not seen as adequate in this case? But I still believe in it. As much as I condemn murders committed in the name of 'honour'.
